AI is becoming increasingly accessible to small businesses, and there is a growing range of AI tools available at a price point that makes them accessible to almost any small business. Gen AI promises to deliver efficiencies and productivity improvements, enabling small businesses to deliver better services to customers. However, uptake is not without problems. This roundtable will discuss the practical challenge of how small businesses might harness the benefits of Gen AI whilst minimizing the pitfalls associated with the adoption and deployment of this new technology. It will seek feedback on the extent to which small businesses are currently using AI, and how this can create a positive social impact for business owners, employees and customers.
