Attending business and professional functions is an important way to get known, build your visibility and credibility, generate referrals and possibly find clients.  Skilled networkers are confident people who:

Canberra Region BEC

The Capital Region BEC (CRBEC), based in Queanbeyan NSW, is a not-for-profit organisation whose role is to assist the growth and development of the small business in our region. The BEC offers monthly breakfasts with guest speakers. http://www.crbec.com.au

BNI – Business Network International

BNI is a business and professional networking organization that offers members the opportunity to share ideas, contacts and most importantly, referrals. Several chapters operate in Canberra/Queanbeyan, each offering weekly breakfast meetings. http://www.bni.com

ACT & Region Chamber of Commerce & Industry Young Business Network

The ACT & Region Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s Young Business Network (YBN) is designed specifically to provide young people in business with the opportunity to network, develop skills, make new friends and form the base of the next generation for Canberra’s future private business sector.
