Networking

Attending business and professional functions is an important way to get known, build your visibility and credibility, generate referrals and possibly find clients.  Skilled networkers are confident people who:
  • Can introduce themselves well
  • Use their business cards effectively
  • Listen skilfully
  • Can converse on a range of topics
  • Are willing to share information without expectation of reward
  • Have a system for follow-up when they meet people.
  • In the ACT you can network at women-only functions, business and professional functions. You can find out about many of these functions by checking the events calendars.
