The Australian Government through the Office for Women produces a publication called Australian Women Working Together (AWWT). ACT Government

Office for Women

The ACT Office for Women aims to support, celebrate and encourage the full participation and contribution of all women and girls in every aspect of the community. The role of the ACT Office for Women is to: • Provide advice to the Minister for Women on all issues impacting on women; • Provide across Government strategic direction and oversighting of policy and program development in addressing and progressing issues relating to women in the ACT; and • Develop and promote links between key stakeholders and the Government in working to improve the status of women. http://www.women.act.gov.au/index.html

ACT Ministerial Advisory Council on Women

ACT Women's Register

The ACT Women's Register is for women interested in nominating for appointment to ACT Government and non-Government boards, committees and statutory authorities.

NSW Government

Office for Women

The NSW Office for Women is part of the NSW Premier’s Department. The Office is the key advisor to the State Government on policies which impact directly on women. It also provides a valuable role in contributing to discussions on important social and economic issues relevant to women. www.women.nsw.gov.au

Australian Government

Australian Government Women’s Portal

The Women’s Portal aims to improve access to government information and services by providing a single web site from which these online resources can be searched and accessed. It is essentially a directory of these resources, which is intended to simplify the process of locating government information. http://www.women.gov.au/

The Office for Women

The Australian Government Office for Women has a number of roles. It: • provides high level (policy and other) advice to the Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for Women's Issues • administers programmes, including most significantly programmes to combat domestic violence and sexual assault • advises on legislative issues relating to women • provides the principal focus on consultation between the women's sector and government, and • represents government at national and international forums on women's issues, such as the United Nations http://www.ofw.facsia.gov.au/index2.htm
